‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ Hindi Becomes The Biggest Opener In India

The Hindi version of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is now the biggest opener in India. The film collected Rs 52.95 crore in India on its opening day. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film is on its way to shattering several box office records. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has surpassed the opening day records of Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s War and Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.

Director Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2 hit the theatres on April 14. The film was postponed several times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. KGF: Chapter 2 is taking the box office by storm.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to inform the fans that the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2 has surpassed the opening day records of War and Thugs of Hindostan.

His tweet read, “‘KGF2’ CREATES HISTORY, BIGGEST DAY 1 TOTAL #KGF2 has demolished *opening day* records of #War and #ThugsOfHindostan #KGFChapter2 is now BIGGEST OPENER in #India [#Hindi version] *Day 1* biz #KGF2: Rs 53.95 cr. #War: Rs 51.60 cr #TOH: Rs 50.75 cr Nett. #India biz (sic).”

KGF: Chapter 2 is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj and Malavika Avinash play key roles in the film. Editor Ujwal Kulkarni, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and music director Ravi Basrur form the technical crew.
