Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after flagging off the Vande Bharat Express from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri on Friday, insisted that the Union government is changing the country’s railway infrastructure by making record investments.
The prime minister introduced four train projects for West Bengal as well as laid the structure rock for the redevelopment of the New Jalpaiguri train terminal.
He explained that train stations, consisting of New Jalpaiguri, are being created on the lines of airports.
