Filmmaker Shaji Kailas’ ambitious project with Mohanlal has finally got a title. The team announced the title on Tuesday evening (Oct 4). And the title is ‘Alone’.
“We (Shaji Kailas and Mohanlal) have associated for many movies. Shaji Kailas’ heroes are always powerful and courageous. And the real hero is always alone. And you will be able to understand this movie. Real heroes are always alone,” Mohanlal shared, launching the title poster.
The film also marks the 30th movie from Aashirvad Cinemas and interestingly Shaji Kailas who directed the banner’s first film ‘Narasimham’ is helming its 30th.
‘Alone’ also marks Shaji Kailas’ reunion with Mohanlal after a gap of 12 years! The duo has previously delivered blockbuster movies like ‘Narasimham’, ‘Natturajavu’, ‘Baba Kalyani’ and ‘Red Chillies’. Mohanlal was elated to reunite with the filmmaker and while annnouncing the project the star had said, “The wait is finally over! It’s with great excitement and happiness that I announce my next project with Shaji Kailas which starts rolling in Oct 2021. This film scripted by Rajesh Jayram and produced by @antonyperumbavoor under the banner of @aashirvadcine has me and Shaji getting together after 12 long years. Am sure it’s going to be worth the wait!”
Helmed by Shaji Kailas, ‘Alone’ is scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman.
‘Alone’ has also got a talented technical team. Abinandhan Ramanujam is the cinematographer and Don Max is in charge of the edits. Santosh Raman is in charge of the production design and Jakes Bejoy is handling the music department.
Meanwhile, the team had kick-started the shoot on September 27.
Mohanlal has recently completed the shoot of his next with Jeethu Joseph and the actor is expected to be joining the sets of ‘Alone’ in a couple of days. As the Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas duo has given several blockbusters in the past, cinephiles are eagerly waiting for their upcoming film.
