Mohanlal has finally joined the sets of ‘12th Man’ in Idukki. The movie went on floors on August 17 and the team was filming in a resort in Idukki. Mohanlal was shooting for his other film ‘Bro Daddy’ during the time, and it wrapped up on September 6. After taking a week off Mohanlal is back to business.
‘12th Man’ is an upcoming Malayalam film helmed by Jeethu Joseph. Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph has previously worked together for the ‘Drishyam’ franchise and their third film ‘Ram’ is under works. ‘12th Man’ will mark the fourth association of dynamic duo. As they have given blockbusters previously, cinephiles and critics have high expectations from the upcoming film.
‘12th Man’ is touted to be a thriller and the tag line of the film reads, “Unveiling the shadows.” The director had earlier divulged to Kochi Times, that the film is a 24-hour story with suspense. It will be an absolute entertainer and the film has a total of six male and six female characters, however, it doesn’t follow the usual hero–heroine concept.
Mohanlal has roped in to play the lead character, while actors Unni Mukundan, Anusree, Aditi Ravi, Leona Lishoy, Veena Nandakumar, Shine Tom Chacko, Saiju Kurup, Santhi Priya, Priyanka Nair, and Sshivada will be seen essaying some pivotal roles in the film.
On the technical front, Satheesh Kurup is the cinematography director for ‘12th Man’. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is backing the project. The shoot is steadily progressing in Idukki.
