The Delhi Tourism Department’s three-day long ‘Itra and Sugandhi Festival’ started out at the Sunder Nursery in Nizamuddin on Friday.
Tourism Minister Atishi, at the inauguration ceremony, stated the festival is a part of numerous vital tasks of the Delhi government to provide a platform for traditional industries to develop and thrive.
Apart from sessions on aromatherapy and fragrance-making workshops, soulful performances by Nizami Brothers and Nooran Sisters might be highlights of the pageant in an effort to conclude on March 19, in step with an official announcement.
Atishi said ‘itra-making’ is an historical conventional enterprise in the country that has supplied livelihood opportunities to people for centuries.
The 3-day festival might be held at Sunder Nursery from 12 midday to 10 pm.
“Discussions on aromatherapy and fragrance may also be organized. The honest will include stalls for handicrafts, artisanal products, and various cuisines,” the statement said.
