Actor Vinod Prabhakar, who was recently seen in the films ‘Roberrt’ and ‘Shadow’, is all set to return to the big screen with ‘Varada’. The commercial flick directed by Uday Prakash will be out in cinema halls on the 18th of February; the makers made the announcement through a special poster. Vinod Prabhakar is paired alongside Amitha Ranganath in the film.
‘Varada’ will see Vinod play the role of an engineer whose strange relationship with his father forms the crux of the story. There’s a bonafide action element in the film, along with the strong emotional core, and much of the story follows Vinod’s character’s attempts in mending things with his father. Senior actor Charan Raj will be essaying the role of the father while Prashant Siddiqi, M K Matta, Anil Siddu and Girish Jatti play other significant roles in the film.
On the other hand, Vinod Prabhakar will soon turn producer with ‘Lankasura’, a film he also stars in as the lead. The action entertainer will be directed by Pramod Kumar and Vinod will bankroll the project under his home banner of Tiger Talkies. Set against the backdrop of the underworld, ‘Lankasura’ also stars Yogesh or Loose Maada, and both Vinod and Yogi are said to have undergone physical transformation to fit into their respective roles. Parvathy Arun plays the female lead.
Son of the late action legend Tiger Prabhakar, Vinod has striven hard to take up the mantle and create a niche for himself in the action space. He was seen exchanging blows with Challenging Star Darshan in ‘Roberrt’ and received positive responses from the audience.
