Vijay Babu Appears Before Probe Officials For Second Day In Sexual Assault Case

Kochi (Kerala) [India]: A day after entertainer maker Vijay Babu was captured and delivered on bail, he showed up before the probe officials on Tuesday for the second successive day regarding the sexual assault enlisted against him.

The Malayalam entertainer maker arrived at the Ernakulam Town South police headquarters today for his cross examination.

The police had examined Babu at 9 am on Monday morning as well, when his capture was kept regarding the rape case.

The Kerala High Court had before conceded him anticipatory bail for the situation and guided the entertainer to help out the examination from June 27 to July 3 between 9 am and 6 pm over the span of which he would be considered to be under guardianship. He was likewise coordinated to forgo altering the test and to stop collaboration through or with any friendly or different media.

There are two cases registered against him. One is the sexual assault case and another is for disclosing the identity of the complainant through social media.

The complainant alleged that she had been sexually assaulted by Vijay Babu in a flat in Kochi. The offence was repeated by the accused more than once, she said in her complaint.

The grievance said Babu committed the offense on the appearance of offering jobs in motion pictures to the lady.
In the interim, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) on Sunday said that any move against entertainer maker Vijay Babu will be made “according to the judgment of the court”.

The entertainer said that he will avoid the Executive Committee of the association till he is demonstrated blameless in the rape case to save the relationship from “shame.”

Following the allegations, Vijay ventured down from the chief council of the AMMA in May.

AMMA president Mohanlal, its general secretary Edavela Babu, and its treasurer Siddique were among those who addressed a press conference on Sunday.

“This is a matter for the court to consider. Action will be taken if necessary as per the judgment of the court. We are waiting for the verdict of the court to come. Everyone is waiting for the verdict. He is a member of eight or nine clubs in Kochi. He has not yet been expelled from those clubs. AMMA is actually a club. AMMA will act in accordance with the court order,” said Edavela Babu, General Secretary of AMMA at the press conference.
