Suriya Attends Pooja Of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’s Hindi Remake

The Hindi remake of Suriya-starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru’ directed by Sudha Kongara has finally been launched with an official pooja. Produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Abundantia Entertainment, the film has Bollywood star Akshay Kumar playing the role played by Suriya in the original. Interestingly, actor Suriya attended the official pooja of the film, that happened in Mumbai yesterday.

The Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which was based on the life story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, has finally gone on floors. Akshay Kumar will be seen romancing Radhika in the Hindi version, which is likely to be set on North India backdrop and Sudha Kongara Prasad who helmed the original Tamil film will also direct the Bollywood remake.

Taking a short break from his schedule of ‘Suriya 41’ directed by Bala, the actor attended the pooja of Soorarai Pottru’s Hindi remake in Mumbai yesterday. Sharing pictures of himself with Akshay Kumar and director Sudha Kongara, Suriya posted, “A new begining… need all your love and blessings!!” (sic)
Akshay Kumar shared a video on his official Instagram handle of the muhurat shot of the film. In the video, his co-star Radhika Madan can be seen breaking a coconut. Sharing the video on Instagram, Akshay Kumar wrote, “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes (sic).”
Meanwhile, music composer GV Prakash has also expressed his excitement about composing music for the film.
GV Prakash posted the same pictures n wrote , “Super happy to to be composing for this classic …. With new exciting songs and bgscore … @akshaykumar sir @Suriya_offl sir #sudhakongara @Abundantia_Ent @2D_ENTPVTLTD.. exciting days ahead.” (sic)
