Superstar Suresh Gopi lends a helping hand to an underprivileged woman, who is set to enter wedlock in September. The actor gifted a wedding dress and also endowed a sum of Rs. 1 lakh to Aswathy Ashok, a native of Ettumannoor.
According to the reports, the bride belongs to an underprivileged family, as she lost her father 21 years ago and her mother works as a sweeper in a resort. The pandemic situation had taken a toll on the family to proceed with the wedding and that’s when Suresh Gopi offered help. “#SG gifts a wedding garment and an amount of Rs. 1 lakh to Aswathy Ashok who is preparing for her wedding on September 9th. She lost her father 21 years ago and her mother works as a sweeper in a resort. Her family found it difficult to proceed with the wedding due to their present situation. SG was informed by the officers of the Devikulam local police station and handed over the cheque and saree in front of the Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple,” Suresh Gopi’s official team tweeted.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Suresh Gopi was earlier shooting for ‘Paappan’, an upcoming film helmed by Joshiy. The film will also feature Gokul Suresh, Sunny Wayne, Nyla Usha, Neeta Pillai, and Kaniha in pivotal roles. The superstar has also completed the dubbing of ‘Kaaval’, directed by Nithin Renji Panicker. Suresh Gopi has also signed for a revenge thriller tentatively titled ‘SG251’. The movie is helmed by Rahul Ramachandran. Suresh Gopi plays the central character of a 65-year-old man, who is a watch mechanic in Kochi, in the film. The first look poster of the film was launched on the actor’s birthday (26 June) and cinephiles are eagerly waiting for an update from the team.
