As promised, the team of ‘Ratnan Prapancha‘ have beckoned all of us with the film’s first official trailer at the exact hour. Prior to the release of the trailer, the team had taken to social media to share a bunch of fun promo videos in the lead-up and thereby raised the expectations among the audience, who had been keenly looking forward to the film’s first look. The Rohit Padaki vehicle carried a lot of hype up till this point with a promise to feature Dhananjaya in an unusual avatar and judging by the trailer, the makers have successfully managed to keep it up.
Dhananjaya plays Ratnakar in the film, a slightly crabby insurance agent whose middle-class life mostly centers around “doting” mother (played by Umashree) and her futile attempts to get him married. With Reba Monica John, Ravishankar Gowda, Anu Prabhakar, Pramod, Shruti, and others making up the principal cast, the trailer promises a vibrant and fun-filled comedy-drama with elements of the “road movie” and crime too added to the mix.
The trailer was released at 12:34 pm earlier today, on the auspicious occasion of Varamahalakshmi. This will be the second Kannada film for actress Reba Monica John’s, who was previously seen in films like ‘Jacobinte Swargarajyam’ and ‘Bigil’ (Tamil). Her debut film ‘Sakalakala Vallabha’ is yet unreleased. National award winner Umashree returns to the screen after a long hiatus.
