Ranveer Singh Receives The Etoile d’Or Award At Marrakech

New Delhi [India]: On the outlet night of the Marrakech International Film Festival, Bollywood megastar Ranveer Singh took centre stage to bounce and perform an impromptu rap wide variety from ‘Gully Boy’ as he received the Etoile d’Or award.

According to Variety, at some point during the festival’s beginning ceremony, Ranveer considered one of his characteristic energy dances. As the actor was presented with Marrakech’s Etoile d’Or trophy, he said, “This is the darkest duration. When I look at the world around me, I see all styles of pain and struggling. I experience that in my potential as an entertainer, the satisfactory component I can do is lighten people’s burden,” stated Variety.

Following the outlet rite performance, he moved to Marrakech’s famous Jemaa El Fna Square, wherein Ranveer’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was screened.

There he treated the crowd to a rendition of a rap variety from ‘Gully Boy’ and again danced. “You positioned me on a level and give me a mike, and I feel pressured to sing you a song, or do you a dance, or display you a film, or tell you a tale,” he stated, as per Variety.

The Marrakech International Film Festival has previously honoured Indian stars, which includes Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan and in 2012, it ran a special sidebar to mark 100 years of Indian cinema.

This year the festival marks its first version seeing that 2019 and could run from November 11 to 19. It was revealed by the ceremony host Nabila Kilani that due to “hard situations” jury individuals Danish director Susanne Bier and Guatemalan-born U.S. Actor-manufacturer Oscar Isaac could not attend, in step with Variety.
