Puducherry, Aug 15: Puducherry chief minister N Rangasamy presented the Union Home Minister’s Police medal for Excellence in Police Training to Muthu Sandrasegaran, Special grade Assistant Sub-Inspector of police and woman police constable Francis Jenifer at the Independence Day celebrations here on Sunday.
The chief minister also presented the Chief Minister’s police medal for very good service to Govindasamy Murugan, Sub-Inpsctor of Police (MTS), Pnakajakshan S I of Police (SIGMA), Harikrishnan Dhanalakshmi, Woman ASI of Police, Calaiselvy, and Woman Head Constable (Control room).
Mr Rangasamy also presented the Rajiv Gandhi Meritorious Police Medal to 20 police personnel on the occasion.
Sub-Inspectors of police Raghupathy (MTS), Bhoopathy(SIGMA) and Tamilarasan (Orleanpet police station) were selected for the President’s police medal for meritorious service this year which will be presented at the Republic Day function next year.
