Aurangabad, Aug 13: The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 330 new Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region including Beed district was the worst-affected as it recorded 154 new cases and 7 deaths, followed by Osmanabad with 92 cases and 3 deaths, Aurangabad with 28 cases and single death, Latur with 37 new cases Jalna with 11 cases, Nanded had six cases, Parbhani and Hingoli one each case.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 6,388 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 63,75,390.
The state also registered 208 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,34,572.
Meanwhile, the highest 8,390 patients also recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 61,75,010.
The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 96.86 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.11 per cent.
At present, there are 62,351 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.
