Kavin will be teaming up for a comedy-drama, which will be produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan. The film will be directed by his associate Arun, who has worked with Vignesh in films like Thaana Serndha Koottam. Titled, Oorukuruvi, the film is said to go on floors from next month.
Says Arun, “I used to share ideas with Vignesh sir whenever we worked together. Oorkuruvi is one such idea that I had shared with him. He really liked it and said that he and Nayanthara will produce the project under their banner.”
The film is a rural script and Arun says that they felt Kavin would be apt for the script. “Vignesh sir suggested that Kavin would be apt for the film and the role. I, too, felt the same,” says Guru, who also worked with Ajay Gnanamuthu in films like Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal.
Talking about Kavin’s role, Arun informs, “As for his look, it will be in tune with the rural backdrop. The location recce is going on right now and we will begin shoot from next month. The entire movie will be shot across exquisite locations of southern Tamil Nadu.
The other cast and crew members are yet to be finalised for this project.
