Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic police facilitated the transportation of the Live organs (Lungs & Heart) by providing a green channel to the ambulance carrying them. On Saturday at 1409 hours, the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police coordinated and arranged Green Channel for transportation of Live organs (Lungs & Heart) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad to KIMS Hospital, Begumpet, here, a police release said.
The distance between Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad to KIMS Hospital, Begumpet, is 36.8 km which was covered in 26 minutes. The medical team carrying Live organs left at 1409 hours from RGI Airport and reached KIMS Hospital, Begumpet at 1435 hours.
The efforts of Hyderabad and CyberabadTraffic Police in the transportation of live organs were applauded by the management of KIMS Hospital, Begumpet as it would help in saving precious lives.
In 2021, Hyderabad Traffic Police has facilitated organ transportation about 15 times, the release added.
