Goa CM expresses confidence of forming govt in 2022 as well

Panaji, Aug 13: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday expressed confidence that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be able to form government after 2022 assembly elections as well.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme in the city, he said,”BJP is strengthening organisation before elections. Party president has started touring different constituencies in the state. Yesterday he visited Sankhali and Quepem constituencies. I too have started visiting constituencies. Various projects are being inaugurated. As a party we are getting very good response. I am confident that we will come back to power post 2022 assembly elections.”
Assembly election in Goa are scheduled to be held yearly next year. The party has started preparing itself for the elections. Various leaders of the party, including BJP National President J P Nadda, had visited the state recently.
The BJP had been able to form government in 2017 even after getting merely 13 seats with the help of Goa Forward Party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and indepdents.
