Bengaluru: Ola Electric is all set to launch its first electric scooter Series S1 here on Sunday.
The e-scooters are being manufactured at the Ola Futurefactory located in Tamil Nadu, that has the capability to make one e-scooter in an average time of two seconds by using most-advanced AI machines.
Ahead of the event, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal posted a video informing about the event even as bookings of the e-scooter had already begun at a refundable token amount of Rs 499.
Customers will be delivered their Ola e-scooter directly to their doorstep.
As per the company, over one lakh bookings had been received on the first day of the booking across the country.
On the pricing, the company said it will be competitively priced, and will be announced tomorrow.
The e-scooter has many first-in-class features such as class-leading acceleration, largest-in-class boot space, superior range and many first-in-class features.
Ola Futurefactory
The e-scooters are being manufactured for the world at the Ola Futurefactory located in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri.
The factory is spread across 500 acres with 10 production lines and a staggering capacity to produce over 10 million scooters a year. It will be the world’s largest two-wheeler factory.
The factory uses advanced AI machines across all stages of manufacturing to optimize operations and over 3,000 AI-driven robots help ensure the product is built with surgical precision.
The factory has the capability to make one e-scooter at an average time of two-seconds.
Ola Hypercharger
The company is also building world’s largest and densest two-wheeler charging network called Ola Hypercharger. It will put in place automated charging system where the customers need not make payments through card or cash.
The standalone chargers will be installed across key malls, IT parks and popular locations across the country to ensure users find a charger no matter where they go.
