Itanagar, Aug 11: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra was on Wednesday
sworn in as the Governor of Mizoram.
Mishra, who was administered the oath of office by Gauhati High Court Judge, Justice Michael Zothankhuma at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Aizawl, Mizoram, will continue as Arunachal
Pradesh Governor with additional charge of Mizoram.
The Governor will discharge the functions of Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati in
addition to his own duties, during the latter’s absence on leave, a Raj Bhavan communique said
here.
Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, Deputy Chief Minister Tawnluia, Assembly Speaker
Lalrinliana Sailo, Council of ministers and leaders of political parties were present in the
swearing-in ceremony, the release said.
Among others, Mizoram Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP) and other senior
officials were also present, it added.
