2nd Test, Day 1: Rohit, Rahul fifties take India to 157/2

London, England: Fine fifties by Rohit Sharma (83) and KL Rahul (55*) took India to 157/2 at tea on the first day of the second Test of the five-match series against England, here on Thursday.
India scored 111 runs in the second session and lost two wickets.
Earlier, put in to bat, Rohit and Rahul gave India another strong start by brining up a century partnership.
Indian openers had a 126-run stand during which Rohit brought up a half-century off 83 balls which is his 13th in Tests.
However, James Anderson struck twice to give England breakthroughs, clean bowling Rohit Sharma for 83 and getting Cheteshwar Pujara (9) out caught in the slips.
Only 18.4 overs were bowled in the first session. India were 46/0 before rain interrupted play at Lord’s, prompting an early lunch break.
